Thong M. Trinh is a Berkeley Fellow and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education at the University of California Berkeley. His research focuses on Higher Education Policy, particularly in Finance. Thong has published extensively on topics such as student willingness to pay, university budgeting, and other areas related to higher education policy. He also serves as an Editorial Board member and peer reviewer for several Web of Science and Scopus-indexed journals in the field of Education.

Thong has received several prestigious awards, including the International Graduate Achievement Award and the Strathclyde Business School Dean’s Excellence Scholarship. He holds an MEd in Education Policy, Leadership, and Organization from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MSc in Business Analysis and Consulting from the University of Strathclyde, UK (2022), and a BSc with distinction in International Business from the Banking Academy of Vietnam. In 2019, he was honored with the Certificate for Graduate Valedictorian by the Mayor of Hai Phong.
